Protein Plus Oatmeal = Proatmeal
I am declaring this week more protein week. I will be extremely busy the next couple weeks, so I plan on working out less; therefore making the necessary adjustments to my diet. I want to find quick ways to incorporate more protein, but still have things that are yummy. If you have any idea send them my way.
For breakfast I took a page from the Insanity workout cookbook. If you haven’t heard of Insanity look it up. It’s exactly how it sounds; an insanely crazy way to get you fit and it totally works! I just have a hard time doing it everyday. I find it easier to mix it up a bit with P90X and the gym. My goal is to workout 5-7 hours every week (right now I am probably doing five hours, breaking them up at different times during the day).
Breakfast: Protein Oatmeal = Proatmeal
2/3 cup cooked oatmeal prepared with water
1 scoop whey protein powder (I used Cytosport 100% Whey buy it HERE)
Sprinkle of Splenda brown sugar blend
Here’s Insanity’s Workout Oatmeal
2/3 cup cooked oatmeal, prepared with water
1 scoop protein powder
½ cup fresh or frozen berries
1-1/2 tbsp. chopped walnuts (optional)
Splash of skim, almond, rice, or soy milk
- 2/3 cup cooked oatmeal prepared with water
- 1 scoop whey protein powder (I used Cytosport 100% Whey)
- Sprinkle of Splenda brown sugar blend
